What PPF actually is
Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a clear, urethane-based film roughly 8 mil thick that bonds to your paint. It absorbs rock chips, road rash, bug etching, light scratches and even minor parking-lot scuffs before they ever reach your clear coat.
Modern premium PPF is also self-healing — minor swirls and surface scratches disappear with sun exposure or warm water as the film's elastomeric top layer reflows back into shape.
Where to install it
The most common coverage areas are the front bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors and A-pillars — the panels that take the brunt of highway debris. Full-vehicle wraps are the gold standard for collectors, lease returns and daily-driven exotics.
PPF vs. ceramic coating
A ceramic coating is a chemical layer that adds gloss, hydrophobicity and chemical-stain resistance — but it cannot stop a rock chip. PPF is a physical barrier. The two work best together: PPF on the high-impact areas, ceramic coating over the entire vehicle for slickness, gloss and easier washing.
Lifespan and warranty
Quality PPF lasts 8–10+ years with proper care. We install premium films backed by manufacturer warranties covering yellowing, cracking, lifting and delamination.
